This is what you call a woman who gave birth to 13 children, lost 5 of them and single-handedly raised the remaining 8 all on her own with no education. Armed with just an acute business sense and a mind full of wisdom my grandmother, Edowaye, achieved success in many aspects of her life. She is the inspiration behind this brand. Her zeal and love for education were only matched with her flair for fashion. Granny ensured that all her children, especially the girls, were fully educated. This is because she missed out on education due to the fact that she was female.

I started this brand to build on her legacy. Edowayes specialises in authentic African inspired designs. Our mission is to make a difference through fashion as we adorn your wardrobe with vibrant African prints clothing. We do this by using profits generated to actively support teacher training programs and girls education in Africa. Our fabrics are sourced from the open market and the clothes are handcrafted in Africa by local artisans. When you buy an Edowayes outfit, you are dressing for good!
